Marc Morrone, CFP

Marc is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and graduate of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University with a degree in Public Accounting. Marc specializes in wealth management services including: portfolio management, retirement planning, educational funding and insurance planning. He also leads the firm’s Employer Sponsored Retirement Plan division. In addition, he also provides comprehensive personal financial planning services and has extensive experience preparing Personal Income Tax Returns, and Inheritance and Estate Tax Returns. Marc has completed the NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) Series 66 license, the NJ Life and Health Insurance licenses, the NJ Real Estate license.

Prior to joining Traphagen Investment Advisors, LLC, Marc worked for Gerson Lehrman Group, a New York City based primary research organization, where he assisted hedge fund and mutual fund analysts and portfolio managers with customized equity research. Previously, Marc was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he specialized in portfolio construction and wealth management for High Net Worth individuals. While at Merrill Lynch, Marc obtained the Certified Financial Manager (CFM) designation.

Marc has lectured at Bergen Community College on topics such as “Comprehensive Financial Planning” and “Investment Strategies for Individual Investors.” He has also given numerous presentations on asset allocation, retirement planning, Monte Carlo simulations, and is actively involved with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program) to prepare tax returns for individuals in financial hardship. Marc also volunteers for the NJ CPA Help Center which provides pro-bono financial services to families in crisis. Marc was a 4 year varsity letter winner in football at Fordham University. In his spare time, Marc serves on the Board of Directors of a not-for-profit organization. Marc is married and his personal interests include: skiing, golfing, and running.
